Schwäbischer Kartoffelsalat

A photo of the first attempt. I didn't let the potatoes cook long enough (though today Isabel did suggest that I might want to use a different kind of potato that becomes more mealy when cooked). Still, it tasted pretty good and looks nice in the photograph (that's all that matters, right?)

Apple Cakes

One of the girls at the office bought these really interesting cakes... Taiwanese people are really into pretty desserts... They have a frozen apple in the middle, with either jam or whipped cream of some kind. It's kind of like a cake and a fruity dessert at the same time. Not too sweet, which I liked. All the same I probably shouldn't have had a slice of each. Feeling kind of full now.

Ups, Downs & Homemade Bouillon

When I'm having a better day I am able to think of normal things. Today I cleaned my flat, did two loads of laundry, hoovered the staircase, handed out three cvs, and had a chat with my folks on skype.

I also saw this really amazing recipe for homemade bouillon. Who has a food processor?
